Job Description - Assistant Professor - University Librarian
Essential Qualification:
A Master ‘s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point–scale
A Ph.D. Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript-keeping
The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The candidate must have good knowledge of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a library
Ability to recognize the need to connect library value to university goals and mission through key indicators (learning analytics, library’s role in research activity, quality, and visibility)
Manage the collection and development of the books and journals in the University library
Take responsibility and ownership of selecting, developing, cataloguing and classifying library resources
The candidate must have the knowledge of using new tools and software in the library management and adapt to the software used in house
